I've just got some washin washout colour and i was wondering if its ok to use on highlighted hair which you can hardly see, personally i want to cover up the highlights anyway, so will there be a problem? Cheers.

It depends on what color your hair is now, with the highlights and what color semi permanent color you chose.
Highlighted hair will grab the semi perm hair color easily. if you want to hide the highlights you should choose a color very close to what you have now and expect it to be darker than described.
Example. your highlighted hair is now a med honey type Blonde. to cover the highlights you will want a dark Blonde semi perm color. if you really feel that the dark Blonde wasn't enough you can add a little light brown to the mix. Semi perm hair color will not damage your hair at all.
just remember, on the lightened hair- the color will grab darker and will actually wash out easier. Sounds crazy, i know. to keep the semi perm. color in longer, wash will cool water. hot water will open up the cuticle layer of your hair and allow the darker shade to fade faster.

not really, as long as the new color is darker then the light color, otherwise the light hair will still show... cheers to you
