Hair highlights for the front section of my hair, what's it called?

I'm thinking of getting front and under layer highlights (if that's what it's called). I want one similar to MTV's VJ Suchin Pak when she had highlights only in the front. If I were to go to a salon, what would I ask for? Is it called partial frontal hightlights? Please help.

lol soooo cute my sister is professional stylist and its called a "crown weave" because the highlight are on top the crown and more to the front not back...a weave is not necessary a hair piece...the highlight are weave in and out thus a "crown weave" now to pic a color...lol good luck i wanna see pic

Just describe it to your stylist. He/She will listen and most likely know exactly what are trying to say.

Just say that you want Partial Highlights. Then tell her where you want them, and bring a picture! That usually helps a lot more when you have a picture because then we get more of an idea.

Where I am from, we call it chunking!

You are right they are called partial highlights. Make sure you tell her how thick you want the highlights so she will know if she needs to slice the highlights on or weave them. Probably slice them (for a chunky look). A weave is more natural looking. Be sure when you book your appointment to tell them you only want partial highlights bc it is cheaper in most cases!
