Black hair With Highlights?

I have black hair and I want to get highlights. Do you think highlights are suitable for me and what colour should I get?

loadsa colours suit black hair. my sister has blonde highlights and they look fine. before that she had mahogany and that look nice. i have black hair and i have coppery highlights, my friends think this looks nice.

not to be mean or anything.. but i dont think high lights will look good on you.. but your hair looks great like that

I think you look just fine the way you are, maybe what you are looking for is a different cut. Maybe lots of layers could do it for you.

Bad idea - especially on relaxed hair. It will melt because t will require bleach. Plus, it is way too dark as a base color. Too much contrast, does not look good.

If you want to change the color, lighten the base color to brown. You may at that point be able to have some subtle hilites with hi-lift color. But you are still putting a lot of damage on top of chemically treated (relaxed) hair. More breakage.

blackhair doesnt really work well with highlights. probably cause they dont show well. ive seen some with blondish highlights.. you could try that

i personally think u should leavee it alone its relly pretty and shiny, highlites probly wuldnt work but if u really want them and need a change add a brown, or just cut ur hair differantly i think it wold be pretty if u did a v cut :D

i don't think u should get highlights. i have black hair and getting it colored lighter ALWAYS means bleaching it no matter what ur colorist says she's doing.

and that can damage ur hair a lot
